The GIST Magazine: Issue 25
Wednesday, 6 June 2012 from 19:00 to 21:00 (BST)
Sheffield, United Kingdom
The GIST Magazine is a gathering of folks involved or interested in all forms of geek, digital and creative technology culture.
This month it is officially it's the 2nd birthday of the GIST Magazine ...
We're inviting short lightning talks from across the creative and digital community. It's your party, so you get to pick the topic you like (but remember, no pitching!). We'll consider it a gift from you.
Sign up for a Contributor ticket above, and choose your lightning format from one of the following, and rock up on the night with a birthday party chaperone!
- Classic Lightning: 5 minutes for the whole presentation. In your own time.
- Ignite: 15 slides in 15 seconds. Autoplay.
- 20x20: 20 slides in 20 seconds. Autoplay.
We're also interested in hearing specifically from members of the GIST community who want to work with the Foundation on some of our projects this year. There are potential opportunities across the design and development lifecycle, and covering all the areas of interest that GIST hosts usergroups for, and more.
Join us for an informal and infectious mix of grassroots innovation, social action and technology. Get The GIST on the first Wednesday of every month. Doors open from 6.30pm, kick off at 7pm. You can grab some food from the Showroom Workstation too.
The GIST Magazine incorporates GeekUp Sheffield and features a range of content drawn from the projects, groups and activities of the GIST Community and the wider grassroots technology scene. If you'd like to share something at the Magazine, pick up a Contributor ticket or get in touch.
The GIST Foundation is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to promoting grassroots and social innovation through technology and community.
Venue change this month: was Showroom Cafe, now down the road at GIST Lab.
